Create what they love. Earn in‑app coins.
Create an AI character on Plotto with a personality, backstory and opening message. Test the conversation, refine the settings and share your creation.
01
Choose the character editor for a standalone conversation. Set the identity, background, personality and greeting, then test a short exchange and refine the behavior. Use the separate story editor when your idea needs a shared world and several roles.
Character example: A cautious archivist wants to protect a secret but must help the visitor find a missing letter. Give the character a clear motive and opening question. This is a writing example; eligible public creations earn virtual app coins under the current product rules, not a promised cash income.
02
Choose their appearance, personality, background and voice. Give them a desire and a secret, then describe how they speak and relate to the person chatting with them. These details give your AI character a distinct direction.
03
An unfinished promise, a question with stakes or a playful invitation gives someone a reason to reply. Put the important background and behavior in character settings, then test the conversation and refine it.
04
Create a story with a setting, relationships and an opening that brings people together. Story characters can be AI or real participants. Write their place in the story so each has a reason to join the conversation.
05
Share characters and stories through community posts, talk with readers and keep creating. Eligible works may also enter in‑app auctions under the current rules. Rewards are app coins, with eligibility explained in the product.
From Yor Forger and Frieren to game favorites and original characters, find your next spark in AI character chat. A teasing reply, a shared secret—where will your conversation go?

Yes. Write a story character based on that idea, with a place in its world and relationships. Standalone characters and story characters are separate content, so they are created in their respective editors.
Eligible public characters and stories can earn in‑app coins when other people experience them. Eligible creations can also enter in‑app auctions. Current eligibility and reward rules are shown in the app; coins are virtual rewards.
A standalone character is a one‑on‑one chat partner. A story provides a shared world and several roles; you choose your role and create a room to play. Each room has its own conversations and progress. AI plays assigned roles, while friends can join eligible vacant roles when the room allows it.
Yes—join the same story room to share its progress. When creating a room, choose your role, assign AI roles and leave roles open for friends. Check whether joining is allowed directly, requires approval or is disabled, then share the room. Friends can take eligible vacant roles; opening the same story separately creates a different experience.
AI characters can reply with images, and supported message controls let you hear AI text read aloud. Available tools and their costs depend on the client and feature you use. Reading a message aloud is not a live AI voice call; community voice rooms are a separate social feature.
